American Heart Month

    Did you know that February is more than just the month of Valentine's day, it's also the American Heart           Month. This month is all about raising awareness about heart disease. By raising awareness, people can       begin to make the healthy life changes that prevent heart disease from forming. More than 40 percent of           the American population suffers from a serious form of heart disease. This is an astounding number, but it       can be reduced over time. That is why American Heart Month is so important. A small bit of awareness           today could be all that it takes to save a person's life. Everyone is doing their part to raise awareness and       spread the word about heart disease.

    With more than two-thousand people dying every day because of cardiovascular diseases, it is the                   responsibility of the American population to help their fellow American and spread the word about heart           disease. An increase in awareness will equal a decrease in heart related diseases and heart attacks               throughout the year. American Heart Month has been shown to make a difference every year and this year     will be no different. You can do your part to spread awareness about heart disease and reduce that                   number of deaths by at least one.

    Even though heart disease is an extremely serious problem, itís important to know that there are                       treatments available. This is also part of the purpose of American Heart Month. Thousands of patients             suffer from heart disease without seeking the necessary medical assistance that they need. Many of these     lives could be saved if they only knew that there was an option out there that could help them.
