You've looked at your bank account and the numbers are anything but appealing.
Surveys suggest that millions of American adults have no money saved for emergencies. Also a report by the Federal Reserve that looked at the economic well-being of American households revealed that they would have trouble coming up with $400.00 for an emergency.
It is hard to think of saving when you are living paycheck to paycheck.
Start small, it is easier than you think. Start with $5.00 -$10.00 per week, pick a number that regardless of a disaster you can achieve. Put the money in a separate account and review it once a month. After a few months increase the amount. Keep increasing the amount as often as you can.
Starting small will help you succeed and met your goal.
Reward yourself every now and then when you reach a particular amount with something free. Like taking a night to curl up with a good book or renting a movie from the library. Make sure it is something rewarding to reinforce the behavior you want to continue. Click the image for more info.
